I found this on Craig's list. It was lying in the mud beside a shed. I stripped off the thick gray paint, and the thick yellow paint under that, by soaking the castings in a bucket of straight ammonia. The main casting was cracked at the tensioning lever on the post. Valley Metalworks, of Orange, Massachusetts repaired it. The moving parts of this machine are designed and made well. It was a pleasure to work on. The castings are a little rough. I need a six step sheave at the motor. That Delta motor came with the drill press, but it isn't original.
